- Go to concerts.
- Buy CDs and merch at the concerts.
- Go see your local bands.
- Be in your local bands.
- Be in a street team (or ten).
- Work or volunteer at a record label.
- Write reviews and get them published, online or off, on a website, in a zine or magazine, by starting your own zine (or blog), however you can.
- And please don't suck at it. May I reccomend music classes or picking up an instrument?
- Hook your friends on metal.
